For credit/debit card deposits we charge a 1.75% fee on deposits. This is due to the high fees we need to pay to our payment providers.
How long does it take to deposit money?
All deposits are instant, except for the direct bank transfer (DBT) deposits, which usually take about 3 business days (Monday – Friday). This depends on the time it takes for the banks to clear the funds between them.
Can I use my friends VISA/MasterCard to deposit money?
No. All deposits must be done by a card or account that belongs to you.
Why are my credit card deposits being rejected?
Credit Card transactions can be rejected for a number of reasons, many of which have nothing to do with your credit. For example:
1. Your deposit request is sent securely via the Internet but if your transaction is delayed along the way, our processing centre will reject the transaction rather than processing it with incomplete data. Internet problems and traffic congestion can also cause rejections.
- Solution: A repeated deposit will usually resolve this problem, unless there is a major hardware/software failure.
2. Card number or expiry date mistyped or CVC2/CVV2 number on the back of your card incorrect – these are rejections due to erroneous card data submitted.
- Solution: Another deposit and a little bit of attention to detail will resolve this.
3. Your billing information doesn’t match the credit card information that you entered on the Deposit page. For instance, if you have entered a different post code (Zip code), or your residential address is different to your billing address, the purchase is likely to be rejected.
- Solution: Ensure valid personal data is provided in the account.
4. Some credit cards may also have been blocked for international sales.
- Solution: Contact your bank and ensure the card is open for gaming and international online transactions.
5. Your credit card company may have set controls (or barriers) to prevent potential fraudulent transactions or transactions from Gaming merchants. For example, if several deposits have been made within a short period of time, your credit card company may block your credit card for all transactions. This is an automatic response and may also happen if three or more transactions for the same amount are processed by one merchant (or processor) to your credit card.
- Solution: Contact your bank and inquire about rejection reason for the transaction(s) in question. In case the bank is unaware of any transactions you refer to, this mean that those were rejected by bank’s transactions firewall and prevented from main fraud checks. These issues are to be resolved between you and the bank, as highly confidential.
6. Deposits rejected by Betway.com risk system.

What are the advantages of e-wallets?
Firstly, bank cards initially were not created to fit e-commerce needs, hence the transaction risks and long processing time. e-wallets, on the contrary, are specially designed for making secure purchases online and swift money transfers over the Internet. e-wallets implement security features bank cards can only dream about; even if a bad guy manages to compromise an e-wallet account, tons of digital fingerprints are left.
A bank can reject your online payment if they decide it is too risky and you never know how they decide on this. e-wallets are much more friendly, since they were made for you to make payments when you want it to be.
Among major advantages of e-wallets are:
- 24×7 money movement; withdrawals are normally processed within one business day;
- As a rule, leading e-wallets have 24×7 efficient customer service teams to assist you with any queries;
- Bonuses and special offers offered to the customers;
- Bank cards expire and need replacements but your e-wallet account never does!
Any advantages using e-wallets at Betway.com?
Yes!
- No deposit fees;
- No velocity limits. In other words, you may deposit as much as you like.
- All e-wallets support a withdrawal option, whereas you cannot withdraw to a MasterCard.
Card deposits can take a second, but withdrawing takes longer. Why?
In reality, we do not get your money instantly. When you make a deposit, we ask your bank for authorization. In case the response is “yes”, we credit your Betway.com account. The actual money is received later, but why should not we trust your bank?
Unfortunately, the bank would not trust us when it comes to withdrawal of your winnings. Our promise that we sent you the money is not enough, therefore the funds are placed on your account only when those are physically received by your bank.
Normally, it takes about 3 business days for the funds to reach your account from the moment we sent a request. The money travels via several bank accounts, perhaps even via several countries, and if there are weekends or holidays on its way, then processing will take longer.
Finance is probably the most conservative area of them all. You will not believe how many things are still done manually in banks.

How can I be sure that the game is fair?
As with any game there will be times when you win and times when you lose. Sometimes these extend into streaks. All information that is offered on these pages is put here to inform players of how the Poker Room operates and what measures are taken to ensure the integrity of the games that are played at the Betway.com Poker Room.
The games are always supervised by Betway.com and the Microgaming Poker Network (previously known as Prima Poker) fraud and collusion department. If we detect any suspicious activity we will take action.
Should you have a question or concern with regards to the operation of the Poker Room please contact our support at support@betway.com.
What happens if I get disconnected in the middle of a game?
It is important to understand how the Poker process works should you be disconnected in the middle of a hand. Your hand is protected as per an All-in situation, unless you do one of the following to fold your hand.
Folding of a hand will occur as a result of one of the following:
- You leave the card room in the middle of a hand.
- You exit the game using the close box (i.e. clicking the X in the top right hand corner of the screen).
- You click the fold button, accidentally OR intentionally.
- You are disconnected from the game and re-enter the table before that hand has completed.
- You fail to act on your hand within 20 seconds, e.g. you “Time Out”.
Please note that to prevent this feature from being abused, there is a limited number of All-ins over a 24-hour period that is set by the administrators. The All-in counter is reset each day at 12:00 AM EST.
What happens when a hand is restarted?
Occasionally a hand will appear to start, as indicated by the shuffle of the cards and the prompt for the posting of the blinds. This is followed by a pause and the Dealer text indicating that the “Hand Will Start Over”. Your Poker Account will be unaffected by incomplete hands as only completed hands are posted to your Account.
This means that any blinds posted and bets made in an incomplete hand are not taken from your true Account balance.
What is the rake?
This is the amount the Betway.com Poker Room takes for facilitating the game between players on its service. Our variable rake structure is 5% of the pot size, max. $3.00.
Can I see what the game looks like before I buy-in?
Sure! Install the software and open a Real Money Account. No credit information is needed at this point. You will then be able to login and watch the action or play at a “play money” table.
What is done about collusion?
Betway.com and the Microgaming Poker Network have various methods of monitoring play at tables. Any Player who is suspected of collusion will be monitored more closely and should Betway.com management or the Microgaming Administrators believe that Players are colluding, the players in question will have their Poker Accounts suspended immediately and permanently.
I keep getting disconnected or frozen. What is the problem?
Most frequently, this is caused by an inconsistent Internet connection, which is usually due to momentary hiccups on the Internet highway. Information traveling between your computer and the Poker Gaming Servers travels through many computers and processes along the way. If one of the links in the chain goes down, your information may be lost or (usually) rerouted through to another computer.
Unfortunately, in a real time interactive game such as ours, the delay while your information is passed back and forth through the alternate connection can be enough to cause our system to think you have left the Poker Game and drop the connection. Sometimes your computer gets the message and you get an error message about being disconnected from the Poker Game. Other times your computer knows nothing about this and it looks like the Poker Game has stopped.
I keep getting an error message. What should I do?
Please contact support@betway.com with the nature of your problem and the error message.

I’m unable to play in a Freeroll. Why?
In certain Freerolls the requirement to participate is one raked hand. This can be achieved by playing cash games of poker on our Poker Download/Flash Client for real money.
The raked hand must have been acquired by contributing a minimum of $0.25 to the pot. The raked hand must have been acquired 24 hours before the specific Freeroll the player wishes to join.
To join another free roll after this time has expired, you must play another raked hand in order to qualify for a tournament 24 hours later.
To view if you have the required raked hand for a Free Roll click on “My account” in the Poker lobby and then “View my raked hands”.

Technical, Download & Connection
I have technical problems playing, what should I do?
Please see the respective FAQ section. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for there, please send an e-mail to: support@betway.com
Which browsers do you support?
Betway.com supports Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Safari. To be able to give you the most secure experience as possible, please make sure your browser and system is always updated to the latest version.
I am unable to use the Flash client and Download client. Why?
In order to use the Flash client you must have the updated version of Adobe Flash Player and unrestricted rights on your PC. If you do have sufficient rights on your machine and you still cannot run Flash or download the Poker client lower the security settings on your Internet browser.
We do not support the native Mac platform at present. This means that customers cannot play at Betway.com in Mac OS X, regardless
of web browser. There are, however, workarounds available that more or less rely on you running Windows on an Intel-based Mac using one of the software providers below:
- Download Boot Camp, Free Public Beta from Apple.
http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/
http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/
http://www.codeweavers.com/
The Flash Poker Client explicitly requires Microsoft Internet Explorer in Windows.
