The DFB-Pokal is an annual, elimination football tournament held in Germany. The competition accommodates teams from different soccer leagues across the country. A total of 64 teams participate in the DFB-Pokal tournament spread across the top three football divisions, namely the Bundesliga, 2nd Bundesliga and the 3rd Liga as well as regional football associations. The tournament is also known as the German Football-Federation Cup. The DFB-Pokal football tournament was first held in 1935, and it was initially called Tschammer-Pokal.
