Before you consider any Big Bash betting, make sure you know how the tournament works.
The Big Bash – or BBL – is a T20 cricket tournament held in Australia during December, January and February.
The league is made up of eight teams:
The regular season runs until the end of January, after which the play offs begin.
The Big Bash final is then typically on the first weekend of February.
Though it’s an Australian domestic league, the BBL features a wide array of talented players from overseas. These have included the likes of Lasith Malinga, Jofra Archer, AB de Villiers, and many more of the world’s top cricketers.
The top five teams at the end of the tournament qualify for the playoffs.
The top two teams play off in ‘the Qualifier’. The winner of ‘the Qualifier’ goes directly to the final.
The fourth and fifth placed teams play each other in ‘the Eliminator’.
The team that wins ‘the Eliminator’ will play the third placed team in ‘the Knockout’.
The winner of ‘the Knockout’ plays the loser of ‘the Qualifier’ to see who will take the remaining spot in the final.
At Betway you have a range of Big Bash odds and In-Play Big Bash betting options for every match.
